IFS - International Food Standard
The International Food Standard is defined by representatives of European food retailers. It checks and certifies systems in order to ensure that food is safe, legal and of good quality. The British standard is defined by BRC.
“Naturland” producers and processors work to the highest ecological standards. These are even more stringent than those of “Bio-Siegel”. They produce top quality food without genetic engineering – for the protection of the environment and consumers.
QC&I - Quality, Certification und Inspection
QC&I is a guarantee for quality, certification and inspection. It was one of the first approved inspection bodies for ecological farming in the European Union. For more than 20 years QCI has been active all over the world in the areas of organic food, ecological agriculture and food safety.
When you buy products with the fair trade seal you can be sure that the living and working conditions of farmers and their employees will be improved by fair trade prices and premiums.
Thanks to the UTZ programme cocoa farmers receive a higher income and a better harvest. They can organise better conditions whilst respecting the environment and securing natural resources. Now and in the future.
ISO 50001 Energy Management System
By establishing the ISO 50001 Energy Management System we increase our energy efficiency and therefore our competitiveness.
The standard aims to help organizations continually reduce their energy use, and therefore their energy costs and their greenhouse gas emissions while securing the energy requirement of the user.
The Gold Standard was developed in 2003 by the WWF and other international non-governmental organizations to ensure that climate change projects effectively meet the calculated CO2 emissions and that additional development criteria are strictly adhered to. UN accredited organizations certify gold standard projects. In 2016, we offset our CO2 emissions through the Togo Project.
DLG food controls give consumers neutral and independent reports on the quality of food. Their tests are carried out by scientific experts for the purposes of active consumer protection. Sensory quality criteria play an important role in confectionery products. These include the look, the smell and the taste of the product, not forgetting its bite factor and chewing impression.
